Format: 5-Day and 4 night Live-aboard in the Beautiful Gulf Islands

This course level emphasizes on-the-water skills at a level acceptable for bare boat chartering.  This course builds upon the knowledge taught in the Basic Cruising Standard, Basic Coastal Navigation, PCOC, and VHF radio endorsement

The “Intermediate” course focuses on boat operations, crew management and coastal navigation. You will practice passage planning and have the opportunity to apply the skills learned in the basic coastal navigation course.

Boarding: at 9 am (Day 1 of course)

***Prerequisites: 

“Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard” – “Sail Canada Basic Coastal Navigation” – “ROC(M): VHF with DSC endorsement” – “Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card (or equivalent)”

***Recommended prior to taking the standard:

Recognized standard first aid and CPR certificate – Sail Canada Intemediate Coastal Navigation Standard – 100nm experience

Certification: Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising Standard or Sail Canada Intermediate Crew Standard
