Course Format: Remote HomeStudy – Instructor guided via Zoom

Sail Canada Certification: Basic Coastal Navigation Standard 

Required for:

  • Intermediate Coastal Navigation Standard
  • Intermediate Cruising Standard

Access & Resources:

  • After you register you will be emailed access to the online learning area.  All modules, assignments, and instructor feedback will be administered in this area.
  • Once registered, you will have access to guided module lessons, reading assignments, and online learning activities via partnership with Big Blue Sailing and GreatCircle Courses.
  • We mail all materials directly to you using the information requested at checkout.
  • All study materials, resources, and access are included with the purchase of this Course.
  • Materials include: Textbook, Chart 3463 (Strait of Georgia, Southern Portion),  plotting tools (parallel rule, dividers, pencil, eraser)
You set your pace:  
In the HomeStudy setting, you can repeat sections, re-watch videos as often as needed, or start a private dialogue with your instructor. 
 
Move on when you’re ready:
No need to wait for other students to catch up. If the course is moving too slowly for you, increase the playback speed.

When it’s test-prep time, and your memory of a certain topic is fuzzy, you can’t ask the instructor to repeat the lecture, but with CoastNav Canada, you have access to the online lessons throughout the course.  Go back and refresh your memory any time.
