***This course is a continuation of Start Keelboat Standard.  For those with previous sailing experience, this course can be a challenge to the Basic Cruise Standard (See note below)

Book our 3-day, daysail, course and learn from our Sail Canada Certified Sailing Instructor to be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both Skipper and/or Crew of a sloop-rigged keelboat of 6 to 10 meters with an outboard or inboard motor in moderate wind and sea conditions by day.

Prerequisite*  Start Keelboat Sailing  – These two courses can combine to complete “Basic Crew Standard”  

Note* Basic Crew and Basic Cruising are offered in the same course, just to a different standard of skill.  This course is a continuation of Start Keelboat Standard.   

Note*** If you have previous sailing and cruising experience but no certification, this course will give you the opportunity to challenge the Basic Cruising Standard without having to take Start Keelboat Standard.  However, it is expected that you have the skillset provided in the Start Keelboat Standard
